Hi! I’m Lindsay, the founder of Pure Roots Company. It all started right in our home with a passion for simple, clean skincare.

As a husband-and-wife team raising four energetic boys, we became increasingly uncomfortable with how many skincare products were packed with synthetic additives, fillers, and ingredients we couldn’t even pronounce. It just didn’t feel right putting those on our kids’ skin — or our own. So we went back to the basics.

Our Story

I first heard about tallow balm from my mom, who had been using it on her face. Her skin looked healthier than ever, simply from using tallow. Curious, I decided to try it myself. My son had been struggling with eczema for months, and nothing we tried seemed to help. When I applied the tallow balm, the results amazed us — his skin finally calmed and cleared within a few days. That experience changed everything for us.

We began making our own tallow balm in our kitchen. At first, it was just for us. Then we started sharing with family and friends and the feedback was incredibly encouraging.

That desire to share our products with more families is what ultimately led to the creation of Pure Roots Company.
